Historic work done by Akhilesh Yadav in UP: SP supporters, Lucknow

Pradip Bhandari and  Akriti Bhatia from Jan ki Baat covered the roadshow in Lucknow live, where a number of supporters rallied for Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi.

The supporters of former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav were seen carrying posters with slogans like ‘Vision of Akhilesh- Progressive Uttar Pradesh’. They are of the opinion that in the 4 and half years under Akhilesh Yadav’s governance, the state has witnessed historic work which wasn’t seen in the history of 25 years in UP. The women helpline number facility 1090, Agra-Lucknow Expressway and Samajwadi Pension Yojna to name a few are the achievements and contribution of the Sapa Party. The Akhilesh Yadav government was able to garner 250 seats in the constituency and now with the alliance of Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, it will be possible to muster 300+ seats in the elections. Hence, with the SP-Congress alliance, they want to establish an historic government yet again.

The NSUI, a student wing of Indian National Congress on the under hand believes that Congress has contributed alot to the education of the students. They resounded with cheers for Rahul Gandhi. The Congress government hasn’t formed in UP since the last 27 years and the NSUI members want Rahul Gandhi to become the PM in the 2019 elections so that he could develope India in the centre as well as the state. Today, a total of 5 crore youth venture out of the state annually for employment. The NSUI members believe that Rahul Gandhi would bring employment prospects for them.

While some people at the rally were seen supporting Prime minister Narendra Modi’s BJP, an elderly citizen says-

‘Sab dikhawa hai, sab jhoot hai. 70 saal sabko moka diya, ab BJP ko bhi moka denge. Sabne thaga hai, ye bhi thang jayega.”

Hence, the roadshow and the rally had people with all kinds of viewpoints. But the question that arises is, has Rahul Gandhi come hand-in-hand with Akhilesh Yadav for the prospects to become the PM in 2019 elections? Or have they come together for a good cause to fight corruption and the goons in UP?
